Still confetti（ 静止喧哗）is a response to the exhibiting venue (Creative Box @Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre). The work attempts to act as a buffer that adds anticipation and protection between the box and the creation within it. In an attempt to highlight the ephemeral state of joy, the work takes reference to confetti that is thrown during festive occasions. The confetti reflects on the temporal

state of the festive mood where it eventually succumbs to gravity and falls to the ground. It is a short-lived landscape that both creates and contains joy in the moment. The work presents an attempt to keep the confetti afloat by approaching joy in care and consciousness -discarding away the form of the originally vibrant confetti and instilling a meditative rigidness, in order to allow it

occupy an illusionary landscape of its own.
